Monday Musings

Another weekend bites the dust!

Today is not a holiday! Well, technically the government says it is but I just can’t follow it. IMHO – after studying the Ma.yans in college I have never looked at CC the same. It is just one of those things that annoys me. I think all people have something that annoys them even though it might not actually touch their lives personally. We all kind of pick up causes that we might never fully understand why we feel so strongly about them but we have something in the back of our brains gnawing at us. I’m that way about this ‘holiday’, recycling, not eating meat on the bone or in it’s shell or in anyway resembles what it looked like before it came to my plate and the toilet paper going over the top and down in front.

I have officially started the switch of my wardrobe from winter to summer. It is a little harder this year because I will need summer things for Mexico (Although I will be leaving all my clothes there for the poor when I leave except for the clothes to wear home sillies!) and spending X-mas in California. I’m planning on just being smaller and needing to buy new clothes anyway. I figure that solves the whole problem. I didn’t use to actually switch out my clothes but that was when I had a walk in closet and now I have a tiny closet. With my weight loss I am losing more and more of my clothing so soon it might be able to hold all seasons. I have one pair of smaller pants left. I just fit into them so when they get too big I have to head to the thrift store. Oddly, the size I am currently is the most popular size among thrift store shoppers because I could find no jeans. I have to hurry and lose another size so I have a bigger selection to choose from. I know – such a terrible problem.

This week is my last class for three weeks and my last week of work until November 5th. Yeah!!!

This week I am going to start brushing up on my Spanish via my new Peanut Butter Spanish software. Yeah!!!

Today is weigh in day. My fingers are crossed for 2.9 pounds so I can have an even 50 pounds lost.

I’m getting my hair done this week because I am filming next weekend. This is the exciting news I was talking about. A friend from college is a huge Lev.el 42 fan. They are a British band who became popular in the 80’s. Well, she has started a campaign to try to get them to tour the US.(They still tour in Europe.) The 1st video did so well on Y.ou.Tu.be that she did two more and is preparing to do a fourth one. My BF has been involved in all of them. If you read my BF post, you might recognize my BF that got me back in theatre. She did it again. I knew our friend was doing this and said I would love to do it but would be too scared. The next thing I know I’m getting an email from her saying, “I heard you were interested…” I’m not mad at my BF because without her quiet pressure I wouldn’t have done it on my own. So we are filming next weekend. The band featured the videos on their website or you can see them on Fa.ceboo.k at Level 42: North America Showin’ Them the Love or catch it on Y.ou.Tu.be by searching Heather and L.evel 42.
I will be working on my part this week and I think it is going to be very funny. It is all so fun.

Please send prayers up for my cousin who spent the weekend in the hospital and they didn’t find the problem. Let’s hope that it is nothing and she will be well soon.

  1. First, Amazing Race! We were so disappointed to with last night's episode. It was so much fun until the end. We absolutely loved Terry the cab driver who was helping those two guys out too.

Fingers crossed that you reach your 50 lb. goal this week! But no matter what, know that what you've accomplished is AMAZING!

I'll check out that YouTube video – too cool!

Know that prayers are definitely being said for your cousin. I hope that she gets some answers soon and is okay.
