I will be slow on posting for the next few weeks. Last Thursday we got the call for a baby girl needing parents. We quickly threw things together and drove all night to Florida straight to the hospital to see our little girl in the NICU. She was 4.5 pounds of total cuteness. Over the weekend she turned 1 month old and is now a whopping 6 pounds! We are exhausted and elated! She gets out of the hospital tomorrow. (fingers crossed) Then she and I will be moving into a Florida hotel for the next 7 to 14 days until we get the word from the adoption agency telling us we can go back to our home state. Sadly my hubby is in the middle of a very important project and after getting us settled into the hotel he will be heading home. Therefore, I will be sleeping when she sleeps which is for two to four hours in between feeding and pooping. I won’t be sleeping much because they made me take a CPR class and one of the other babies coded in the NICU today (she came back screaming – all good) so I’m not going to stop watching her breathe for about the next four years let alone the next two weeks while we are alone. I have all these posts popping up in my head but I’m not sure when I will have time to write. It all depends on how Baby Bug and I settle into a routine. This was so crazy fast and it has been a heck of a ride. I hope to share all the fun with you soon.
