V Vellicates my Verruca

by Junebug

(translation V tickles/pinches my wart)

V has many words I find rather disturbing.

Vivisepulture – The practice of burying people alive.  How sad is it that this has happened often enough it has a name.

Vagitus – A baby’s cry or wail.  Or in my house -> the morning alarm clock.

Vaticide – Killing or killer of a prophet.  Wouldn’t the prophet know this was coming?

Vernereology – Study of venereal disease.  Who wants to study this?

Venography – Injecting radioactive material into veins for medical examination.  I’ve had this done recently.

Vomiturition – Violent retching.  The cause for my need to partake in venography.

Vulsella – Forceps with toothed blades.  Luckily not necessary to fix my vomiturition.

Verism – the artistic preference of the everyday to the legendary.  I guess this means a preference to Warhol than Michelangelo?

Vermivorous – Eating worms.  Yuck!

Vespoid – Wasp-like.  Scary!

Viricide – The killing of viruses; killing of men or of husbands.  So men are like viruses?

And especially disturbing to writers Verbigeration the morbid and purposeless repetition of certain words.
