Wow it has been a long time since I’ve done an eavesdropping! Enjoy!
We were walking back from a neighborhood meeting when I spotted these gems on the curb.
Me: “Oh! Those have wonderful bones! We could redo them.”
Hubby: “No!”
Me: “But they are good looking. I hate to see them trashed when they could be really pretty.”
Hubby: “Sometimes I don’t know whether you are being serious or just reenacting a scene from Hoarders.”
He has a point. Another person must have had the same idea as me because they were gone before the trash truck came around. (Not that I know because I went back to look them over again.)

They wouldn’t last 10 minutes with me around. A natural restorer. Wouldn’t they make wonderful Christmas presents for a family member?
