Made you look! Sorry for the old bait and switch. Participating in 30 days of photos with this banging group of peeps with mad skills. I’m less banging but just as mad. Never one to follow silly rules I’m combining yesterday’s prompt of vibration with today’s prompt of craftsman.
This is a picture of my daughter’s favorite vibrating toy and my favorite type of souvenir to buy on vacation. She likes to bring in 2 to 3 teeth at a time. My cousin told me about this toy. When Baby Bug bites down on the star it vibrates. You hear this low grumbling vibration sound. I refuse to bring it out of the house after sitting in a quiet doctor’s office waiting room. The looks I got when the only sound is that of a vibrator was embarrassing.
On vacation I prefer to buy something special handmade buy local craftsmen. The plate was bought in Jamaica and the dog was bought at a street market in Mexico. Each have special meanings connected to me and the place.
This picture is a good representation of my house. A mixture of my style and Baby Bug’s style. I like mine so much more but couldn’t live without hers.

Those vibrating chairs are heaven sent. Especially when they are teething! But yes, they are noisy in public!
Also, that plate? TOTALLY SUPER COOL!

Isn’t that plate awesome!! I got it and a t-shirt in a bargaining win for $20. Actually the dog was haggled for in Mexico as well. I’m not a big haggler but after I say No the people really try to sell me. I almost came home from Jamaica with a beautiful handcrafted basket for only $5.
WINNING!

You and I share something in common, which is an appreciation for local, handmade artwork. Nice idea for today’s prompt, Junebug. And, I guess, yesterday’s, too.

Yea! I feel sorry for people who can’t appreciate the local, handmade art. Their world must be very dull indeed.
Ever thinking on your feet Junebug combining things in your post. Great photos, and yes children’s clutter adds a wonderful energy much more so than adult clutter!
It is funny how quickly a child’s clutter takes over your carefully decorated home and yet it is still perfection.
Please don’t laugh but I first thought that rabbit plate (which looks like some kind of drum with these aging eyes) was what your daughter was using to teethe. I couldn’t imagine how you toted that thing around with you. Ooops.
I love buying local artistry whether at home or away.

Looking at it with new eyes -> I could totally see your first conclusion. How funny is the thought of carrying a plate with me for Baby Bug to teeth? Although currently she really likes gnawing on window sills and that would look even funnier carrying around.
This cracks me up. I have the same decor – homemade, interesting things from travels, and bright plastic toys!

Didn’t anyone ever tell you not to bring vibrating toys to the doctor’s office?
Nope. They probably thought it was a duh -> who would be dumb enough to try it? Me! I’m that dumb.
